Re: Trial: The PNU vs. Duchess Xernos
I didn't say I wouldn't press charges I said I would drop them and it wasn't if he didn't do what I told him to it was if he helped me.

That doesn't matter. We are using the Constitution as a reference.

You phrased your blackmail as a bribery, but when you boil it down, it amounts to the same thing: you will prosecute Pepe unless he joins your party. Also, you have a lot to gain. You would gain a person to aid you in accomplishing your parties goals, another candidate to run for elections and vote for you, and someone to assist you in court.

That is not the part of that conversation I'm referring to, but I will think on something that may determine the outcome

Re: Trial: The PNU vs. Duchess Xernos
Extortion is defined in the Constitution as "obtaining services or a regional role from an individual, governmental or governmental institution through coercion." Coercion can be defined "the practice of persuading someone to do something by using force or threats." Xernos attempted to persuade Pepe into joining her party by threatening to criminally prosecute him if he didn't.

You would drop charges if he joined your party, you don't drop charges if he doesn't join your party, they're the same thing.

Like I said before, it boils down to the same thing: you drop charges if he joined your party, you don't drop charges if he doesn't join your party.
Also, Your Honor, you seem awfully biased.
